18th Apr 2023

QCR are excited to be exhibiting at the Food & Drink Expo in Birmingham from 24th April 2023 to 26th April 2023. At the show will be two QCR Waste experts who will be showcasing three of our recycling machines:

Everyone knows the importance of recycling for the environment but in practice, it can be very difficult to find the right solution for your business. The Waste Experts at QCR have lots of experience of helping businesses in the hospitality and retail industries to save money on their business waste, here is just a snapshot of how we could help you:

Glass recycling in the hospitality sector

If you are a busy pub, café or restaurant and are located in a residential area, traditional glass recycling bins can be noisy for your neighbours. And, because glass bottles go into the bin whole, the bins themselves can fill up quickly meaning that your car park or yard can become full of unsightly wheelie bins waiting to be collected. One solution could be the new GLS1 glass crusher which reduces waste glass bottle volumes by 10:1, crushing them into a sand-like material. If you have lots of seasonal staff then don’t worry as a QCR rental comes with free ongoing training.

Cardboard recycling in a retail business

If you work in a retail business, the goods you sell are often delivered to your shop packaged in cardboard. Some boxes can be particularly difficult to squash into traditional cardboard recycling bins. Or if the shop is particularly busy, you may not have enough time to compact the boxes fully meaning that your bins fill up very quickly. A small or medium sized cardboard baler can help with this as the cardboard is compacted into a tidy bale. If you have lots of temporary staff working in your business this isn’t a problem as a QCR rental comes with free ongoing training.

Cardboard and glass recycling benefits for a Food or Drink Manufacturer

Environmental sustainability credentials are an important factor for many consumers when deciding which brands to buy therefore many manufacturers talk about their recycling practices in their advertising. Some of our QCR customers are so proud of their cardboard balers and glass crushers that they feature them on their Social Media!

Whatever your business, we look forward to welcoming you to our stand to share our expertise.
