Free Baler Trials

15th Jul 2025

QCR offer businesses a free baler trial. You can trial a pneumatic or hydraulic baler for an agreed period of time free of charge.

The free baler trial service from QCR Recycling Equipment provides workplaces with an opportunity to put a pneumatic or hydraulic baler to the test. The baling machine trial follows a free site assessment conducted by a QCR Waste Expert. Before the trial is arranged, QCR will visit your premises to help you decide the most appropriate machine size for your type and volume of waste.

What are the benefits?

A free machine trial allows you to assess how waste baling can help to improve your waste handling procedures and reduce your waste costs. We’ll deliver the baler to your site with a quantity of baler strapping or wires to get you started. We’ll also provide your team with free in-person training and documentation to keep everyone safe.

What do I need to check before the trial?

Ahead of the trial we’ll need you to confirm you have the appropriate electrical supply required at the point of installation to power the machine. Understandably, the area where the machine will be located must be free from debris and well lit.

Who is eligible?

All businesses in England and Wales can arrange a free baler trial with QCR Recycling Equipment. For those businesses where we need to travel by ferry to deliver the machine, we may ask for a contribution towards our expenses before making the trip.

Are there any costs involved?

For the majority of our vertical baler trials, there are no costs involved because delivery will be made by our own team using our own vehicles. Free Mill Size and Industrial Polystyrene Baler trials are available however, because they require larger specialist moving equipment, we’ll ask for a contribution towards our transport costs which will be fully refunded if you decide to keep the machine.

What additional support will I receive?

Throughout the trial you'll receive support from a dedicated local Account Manager who will be on hand to help you get the most from your baler. Your team will receive free in-person training on the day of installation. You'll also be supplied with a detailed instruction manual and a demonstration video.

What are the options after the trial?

At the end of the trial we’ll present you with a variety of hire or purchase options. We may also be able to offer you a deal on a ex-rental refurbished baler supplied with a warranty. In those cases where a trial has not met expectations, we’ll collect it for free.
