QCR Oil Filter Crusher

This hydraulic oil filter crusher has a powerful compaction force of up to 8 tonnes. It has a large crushing chamber enabling the user to compact a wide variety of used filters to a fraction of their original size. Crushing filters will help to reduce to the cost of commercial hazardous waste disposal when charges are linked to volume. Excess oil is drained away during the crushing process for separate disposal.

The machine can also crush small metal cans, tins and drums making it a great all-rounder within a busy workshop environment.

1. How do you dispose of oil filters?

Used oil filters are classed as hazardous waste in England and therefore should be disposed of in line with current legislation from the Environment Agency. Many specialist registered waste contractors offer a service where they can provide you with a 205 litre drum to put your used filters into. Once full, they exchange the drum and dispose of the waste. By compacting your filters before you put them into the drum, you will be able to fit more filters into it and reduce your overall costs.

2. Do you offer any other solutions for other types of compactable waste that is classed as hazardous?

Some waste materials that can be safely compacted but are contaminated with oil such as rags, tapes and some types of PPE can be placed in a QCR Soft Hazardous Waste Compactor to reduce the volume of the material and therefore the associated costs of disposal.
