Every hospitality outlet blows £10,000 on food waste each

3rd Dec 2013

We spend a lot our time rooting around in other people’s bins. No, it’s not as glamorous as it sounds but it does mean that we know a fair bit about the amount of food waste being thrown away and this report suggesting that each hospitality outlet wastes £10,000 of food a year comes as no surprise.

The commercial implications of throwing way food aside,  this material is a valuable energy source.  If your business is producing more than a tonne of food waste per week  (or roughly two 1100l  bins) we might be able to help you turn that material into heating or cooling for your business.

You’ll eliminate the costs of disposal and make savings on conventional fuels.  Oh, and these systems may qualify for RHI payments as well.
